Playing with hobbyhorses is a traditional children’s game, but today’s teenage girls have brought the scene to a whole new level. They are unofficially organised, they are online and have the attitude of punk rocking anarchists. They are serious – and an ever-growing international group of thousands of girls. Hobbyhorse Revolution is a joyful and adventurous film in the interface between reality and imagination. The documentary portrays a hobby that defies categories and young people who are brave enough to be true to themselves.
