RELEASE: Sofia Jannok – Áhpi (Wide As Oceans).

Today it’s the official premiere of our latest music video production with artist Sofia Jannok.

The video and the song touches the issue concerning high suicide rates among indigenous peoples, something Sofia Jannok herself have witnessed among her friends and within her sami community. It also addresses the mining exploitation that threatens to displace the indigenous people even more, not giving them the option to live their lives the way they would like.
– The indigenous people are so invisible in Sweden, this is my way of saying: We are still existing, says Sofia Jannok.
